I have a DS who is 13 and is Autistic and has ADHD.
When at his Dad (my ex), he has started having sleepovers with a nearby friend/neighbour. The other person's child going to my ex's house and staying there. My son is then up til the early hours, sometimes contacting me via phone as his dad goes straight to sleep at his normal time, 10ish)
My question is, for a child who is SEN who has accidents and is not the same to look after as a typical 13 year old (when at his dad's recently has cut his toe open, swallowed a small toy needing A&E etc..) if there is a sleep over happening and younger (he is maybe 10) child who is not yours... Do you just leave them to it and go to sleep or is it wise to stay up to listen out to make sure their ok and to make sure they actually go to sleep at some point and are safe....?
If nothing else, he is in charge of another person's child...
Am I being mad crazy to think should stay up til they get to sleep?
