Recommendations for schools North West ADHD/Autism

My son is awaiting assessment for ADHD and autism. He's in a mainstream state primary school and things have gone downhill. He's had a bad year with his current teacher and has turned from a happy child who loves school, into someone who is anxious who hasn't been understood.
I am considering a move of schools. He's had no support at all in his current school. He doesn't have an EHCP. He's academically really bright. Can anyone recommend maybe a private school which is good at supporting academically bright neurodivergent children? I cant really afford private school, but want to explore any options. Thanks so much.

Forgot to say we are north west UK!

Since you mention EHCP, I assume you mean NW England rather than NW UK? That is a large area. Ca you narrow it down a bit otherwise suggestions may be too far from you?

Are you looking for mainstream or specialist?

You can request an EHCNA yourself. On their website, IPSEA has a model letter you can use. I would also request a meeting with the SENCO at the current school in September.
