My dd with autism, adhd and mh s being assessed for a sen residential placement. Just want to hear from parents who have similar experiences. Did it work out for both yourselves and your young person?

I looked at many , I found only 2 I liked and thought would be suitable for my son.
i would say, go and look at as many as you can.
They are an expensive option for the LA, and the assessment process per college is very time consuming - rightly so.

Also bear in mind how long it would take to get a residential option, some have very limited spaces.

ultimately it wasn’t an option for my ds but I only knew that from the points above.

Thanks Lesley, My dd is already in sen college with residential provision. She had her trial night a couple of months ago now we are waiting the LA s decision.
