Chromosome 17q12 micro duplication

Hi all I’m wondering if anyone else’s child/children have this genetic condition and can help me my daughter was diagnosed in 2017 I also have 3 other children what is the likelihood of the other children also having it

the school keep pushing at me that my younger daughter might have the same as my older daughter but there so different and I can’t see no signs to say yea she’s got it she’s copying her sisters behaviour to which is why they think that but I just can’t see it

Is it a de novo mutation or inherited? If the latter, I would request genetic testing for your other DC. If the former, it is very unlikely DC will have the same denovo mutation.

Regardless of diagnosis, they school should be providing support if it is required.

I have the same condition as my older daughter only found out after she was diagnosed and I have the same 17q12 microduplication
