Does this sound like Adhd?

My 12 year old was a terrible sleeper in infancy and hugely clingy up to age 6. She later developed loades of sensory issues - wouldn't eat most foods, hated wearing shoes/ bathing etc.. For the past 5 years she has become increasingly argumentative and defiant. She screams at us mid discussion if she gets slightly frustrated. She is constantly rude/swears. She literally defies us in front of us and has no respect at all. I feel I am walking on egg shells scared to set her off. I think this might be adhd? Is this similar to anyone eles experience?

Whether it is ADHD or not, it sounds like further assessment and more support would help.

Have you spoken to the school and GP?

You might find the books The Explosive Child and the Out of Sync Child helpful. Some people find PDA strategies and non-violent resistance resources/courses useful.
