If your DC uses an Innowalk, how do they/you find it?

If they have an EHCP, is the Innowalk mentioned in there? If DC has an EHCP which mentions the Innowalk and they attend a school, did the school already have the Innowalk or was it specially procured for your DC? If DC has EOTAS/EOTIS, is the Innowalk part of their package?

My brother has an innowalk at his school (they have 3 - one for primary age, secondary age and post 16 age). I believe it comes under the general fees. Other equipment such as specialist individual trike, stander, walker & slings are specifically costed in his EHCP. He is 13 and has been at this placement since 6.

Thank you. That is interesting.

DS had his AR. As we expected, the LA hasn’t amended, so now we are trying to decide if we should appeal now or not.

If your YP would benefit from the equipment it could be worth a go? Do you have any support from OT who would be happy to write a report? LA did try moving my brother to a placement without an Innowalk and we had a private OT report done that went into depth on other things but also commented on the benefit for an Innowalk. They proposed the moving of 5 children and the cost of the Innowalk was divided by 5

We have evidence from a physio.
