Hi I'm just looking for some advice I have a 3 year old little girl who has speech delay she is very much she will only do something if she wants to she can say words but only says them a few times but then when you ask her to say the words she won't we are under SALT but all the targets they have set are not working I'm singing and reading to her and talking to her All day I just need something to get her to start talking

Sometimes you can do it all and SALT advice will still take months or more to show progress, have they talked through any alternative methods for communication for now?

If she's sometimes pointing, I d get going with trying choice boards and other visual communication methods. Sometimes they find having that back up children then verbalize more as they re a bit less frustrated that they can communicate. Twinkl symbols has a free app you can do all sorts of things on it.
