15 year old son with ADHD. Day 3 of Xmas hols and on day 3 of arguments already. He's also decided he doesn't want to take his meds on the holidays which isn't helping things. He's been at home all day today and when we got home, there was another incident. It happens every school holiday. I parent therapeutically,am empathetic, give him a TON of adjustments,am so careful how I speak to him,yet this all still happens. Exhausted. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Came here to write similar but about my 8year old. She dictates the mood and routine of the entire family and nothing seems to stop the relentless meltdowns. Hopefully someone else can come along soon and offer some advice on how to decompress as a parent to a SEN child over Christmas. I hope you’ve made it this far without a breakdown OP ❤️.

Just posting in solidarity. My two DC (12 and 13 ) have barely wanted to leave the house all holiday and have spent a lot of time agonising over having to go back to school. Both are autistic and their PDA has been pretty intense lately too, so getting them to do anything around the house is really difficult too..

@Blahblahblah81 & @Franjipanl8r Hope you both have been managing to find some peace and a little relaxation.
