Has anyone gone down the first tier tribunal route to challenge a permanent exclusion and won?

Not personally for my own DC, but I have supported others to.

How did it go? I had my appeal on Thursday represented myself and just felt so overwhelmed as the school was represented by a barrister, I didn't understand alot of what was been said

I have been involved in more than one case over the years. All but one went in the parents’ favour. Try not to worry. Not having representation doesn’t mean you won’t be successful. Lots of parents feel overwhelmed afterwards - in part because of the stress of the buildup.

Thank you yes I just felt defeated and like the school wasn't getting challenged on their evidence
