Hi all.
Any help or advice would be appreciated
my son as got an EHCP and he’s just been awarded to start a college last week but the transport team have declined his application as they think he doesn’t need it and doesn’t need there criteria but he can’t go on public transport to college as he can’t go on busses as he doesn’t like loud places and busy places, he got attacked in September and it’s put him back to square 1 where he can’t go out as he thinks he will get attacked again but the transport team still won’t give him transport.
any help to what to do next anyone?

Post 16 transport has different rules to transport for compulsory school aged pupils. You can read more about them here or here depending on if DS is 16-19 or 19+.

Read your LA’s post 16 transport policy but remember not all LA’s policies are lawful.
