What are high needs

I was talking to my neighbour who is looking for an SS for her DS when he goes into Year 7. She said our nearest one is for High Needs. The website says MLD, SLD and ASC. What are High needs?

There is not one universal definition of what high needs are.

However, the school is telling you their pupils have MLD, SLD and ASD.
