Ds aged 6 asd. With costly legal help managed to get him into a special school this year and for a while things were going well, limited speech but improving and happy. More recently it's become unbearable, he shreiks, screams, stamps and cries at anything. He's got limited speech so we don't always understand why. We have very limited family support due to age of grandparents. We've applied for PA support with LA and awaiting assessments. I work long shifts in a busy noisy stressful environment and I feel like I have just near constant noise! I have applied for lots of jobs over the past 18 months without a single interview. I'm on antidepressants. Dh is fab but we're struggling. I can't see a way forward. I can't change my hours and don't know what point of this is almost but I'm really hoping this is a phase?!

@246810k
HI just thought I'd ask have things eased ?

Hey @SL22 thanks for the message.
Things have got slightly better. I've changed my hours at work so though I'm earning less which is a struggle, home life is slightly easier. My work environment has changed too so it's less noisy and chaotic where I am now, within same company and that's made a huge difference
La didn't grant us PA support but I will try again when older

@246810k
Thanks for reply. Really glad to hear things have slightly improved. With work & home life . I've been having tricky time with my autistic dd 5yo
Just wanting to know if it gets abit easier . Some of the trouble you were having is similar to my dd.
