Hi, i applied for a family fund grant and a day later I received an email to say my son had been accepted but my daughter hasn't. I had put number one as wanting a special needs pram for my daughter. Will they disregard this and go on to option number 2 or do I need to contact them. I understand them rejecting my daughter as we haven't had a diagnosis as such yet. Long story short her paediatrician has said she has autism but needs a disability nurse to go into her school so they can see her in another setting.

This is first time applying for. What happens next and what is the time scale please?

Thanks

Can't answer specifically because I've not used for a few years but my first application took slightly longer but think it was only about 6 weeks. The times after were a lot quicker.
With the pushchair has it been denied because it's something that may be supplied on the nhs?

So this was the email I received. I've copied and pasted but took my kids names out.

Thank you for applying to Family Fund.

We are pleased to advise that we have viewed your application and any supporting documentation and can confirm that your son has been found eligible for help.

Unfortunately, we are not able to consider help on behalf of your daughter as they do not meet our criteria at this time. We understand that your child may need additional support at home or school, but it is only when disability comes within our criteria that we are able to help.

Family Fund awards grants on behalf of each family and not for each eligible child so the outcome of your application has not been affected by this.

Your application has now been passed to the awarding stage and you will hear from us in due course.

Kind Regards,
