Anyone have experience? Have you had a child at school here or have one currently?
Thinking about taking DS out of local mainstream with unit. Two professionals have now said he needs specialist provision (ASD and speech/lang environment), on site professional OT and SALT preferable as he has a lot of interventions needed for these.
He's 14, large gaps in literacy (Y2/3) no behavioral issues, enjoys learning esp practical stuff.
It would be a big move, twice the travel distance (would be around 45 mins at least each way), and rural roads so not great in winter. But would consider if placement was great and staff willing to work with us instead of against (looking at current school here).
