Tracker for autistic child

Hello,
I'm looking for recommendations on a tracker for my little boy.
He is non verbal and has autism, he’s absolutely fascinated by water and this terrifies me!
After reading several horror stories in the news of late I’ve decided I’d feel better if he had some sort of real time tracking device he could wear.
I take every precaution to keep my home secure but as he is getting bigger and cleverer I’m so anxious about him ‘eloping’
Any advice as to what to go for would be extremely appreciated x

What about an AirTag? Although it would rely on others nearby having Apple devices.

As well as a tracker, have you had a home OT assessment?

I did consider an AirTag, but my house backs onto a huge hill, covered in vast woodland, eventually leading out to the sea, so might not work well as it’s not well populated.
I am on the waiting list for an ot assessment, they have told me it could take up to 9 months for my appointment 🤦🏼‍♀️
