DD has a level of learning difficulty and just wondering if a tutor would help to go through things in a more focused way each week. She is a bit lost in a class of 30 even with the support school puts in. Is it too young to get a tutor? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could help her

Personally, I think it is a bit early for a tutor on top of school. I would initially focus on getting more support for DD at school. Has DD had an ed psych assessment? What support is the school providing? Does she have an EHCP? And also finding something DD enjoys outside of school.

If you decide to get a tutor and DD has a learning difficulty, I would choose a specialist tutor with experience of KS1 DC. I say this because, for example, many SpLD tutors are better working with secondary pupils.
