Hi all, my son is just started secondary. Diagnosed ASD. He has always struggled with inference in English comprehension.
I'm realising that his difficulty in understanding inference has a huge effect on his understanding and interpretation of questions across all subjects. But he doesn't realise that he is misinterpreting the question so can't ask for help.
I've raised this with the SENCo but hoping that someone can provide some advice on how we can support him or recommend any tutoring support that would help?
