Bullying at school

My DS12 is being investigated for ASD ADHD he likely has both. He's been bullied by some kids, 3 are friends and they seem to take it in turns. DS of course explodes and has got into trouble because of his emotional dysregulation responses, and senior school is the only place he's ever lashed out at anyone, he's usually hurting himself
Today one of these bullies kept poking him in the bum with a pen, my son sat down and bully plus friend who also bullies his were sniggering across the classroom and he ended up throwing a pen and a compass at these kids.
I've been into school lots last year and we've been accepting his punishes over similar outbursts but I'm sick and tired of these bloody kids picking on my child and it's not stopping, then again my child reacts and gets in trouble
Help me! What do you to?
Thanks

Complain to the school. They need to stamp out the bullying.

In addition to this, what support is DS receiving? Does he have an EHCP?

School said there's no point for EHCP unless we want him to go to a different school as they put provisions in place themselves and to be honest they've done loads for DD16, but I may do it anyway as just done my DDs one for post 16 support.
I've emailed today,
Mentioned things like sexual assault and disability in the bullies behaviours too - I always write so it's in writing too
Honestly, you'd think they'd be more proactive to stamp bullies out

Ignore the school. Request an EHCNA yourself using IPSEA’s model letter. An EHCP can provide more support, including therapies and closer supervision.
