Highly sensitive, processing issues - hates his dad

Hi all,
My 18YO son is undiagnosed SEN but did receive extended processing time during his GCSEs. He’s very introvert, plays his Xbox all day everyday, and would typically be known as having a bad attitude problem & hates to be around people.

The biggest issue I have right now is that he constantly speaks to his father like crap, that’s if he replies at all. It doesn’t matter what is said, he seems to have everything his dad says as offensive. His dad is very monotone and my only guess right now is that the 18YO, due to sensitivity believes he’s being reprimanded..?

Id love to know whether anyone else has this issue, and what support there is. It’s like everyone is walking on egg shells and he’s unparentable.

thanks

Would DS be willing to see the GP?

Is DS in education/working or is he unable to work at the moment? What is his mood like.

It might be worth speaking to DH (and DS if you think he would be receptive) about Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria.
