Taking equipment into school

ds has been recommended by OT to use a writing slope so we agreed with SENCO at end of last term that he could take one (made by grandad) in to try in some lessons, although this means carrying it from room to room. She is going to brief the staff but he is already worried about comments from other kids. One girl already uses a laptop occasionally. Any tips please ?

Not much help to offer, but due to dyspraxia my ds uses a keyboard instead of writing. I was worried for him that people would comment or find it odd, but after the first "what's that for?" no one even notices. He has it in his bag with his books and it's very normal to him now.

Could he decorate it to make it look cool?
