Transport to SEN school

Dc is starting SEN school in September. I will be driving until they are settled, which I am guessing will be a while. Other dc also has AP which we will drive past anyway. I know transport could be provided, but we don't want that yet. I was just wondering if I can get any help towards fuel?

You can apply for a personals travel budget. In my LA it’s 55p per mile and covers the miles to and from school for both journeys.

Yes, you can request a personal travel budget/mileage allowance. You should make a transport request for this now because LAs can take time to agree.
