I’ve asked a few questions on here, and found the support really helpful. Here’s the latest one!
The LA have agreed to carry out a needs assessment, but since we submitted the evidence for the EHCNA, the school has reduced the level of support it is providing.
The evidence we submitted included the provision map from the school. However, following a change of SENCo the school have said that they are not able to provide the interventions that were included in the provision map. This appears to be for resourcing reasons - there has been no reassessment by the school nor any progress in terms of attainment levels to justify withdrawing the planned support.
Is this likely to result in refusal to issue? Could the LA say that the school needs to do more (despite the fact that the school is saying it can’t)?
