Hi, just hoping someone might be able to help please.
Son was currently on the sen register and i have just found out the school has removed him, when i don't know as they will not tell me. I personally don't think he should be removed and speaking to a couple other people including sendias they said he shouldn't of been removed either.
Am i right in thinking that i should of been told they were removing him and asked for my say? Or do they not have too?
Also the school put in a referral to early help in April which i have been trying to chase up to find out if it got accepted or not.
After nagging the school for days i recieved an email from them saying the early help referral was closed due to non engagment, when i asked them what they mean by that they wont answer me. Did the school or early help side not bother or was it just not accepted. I dont know how it all really works as school say they will do it all.
Thanks,

Schools don’t have to tell parents they are removing pupils from the SEN register. If you disagree with it (and it sounds strange if they have recently felt the need to refer to EH for SEN matters) request a meeting with the SENCO.

Non-engagement usually means the family/child hasn't engaged. Did you miss an appointment/phone call/paper work? Chase it up with children’s services directly rather than the school.
