Hello - I have a 7 year old ASD son. He is constantly putting stuff in his mouth especially when outside like mud, stones, grass etc and things like blue tac and play doh. Chew toys all disintegrate as he bites through all the ones school have provided. Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative or way to help him stop? He knows he shouldn’t do it but the urges are too much for him. Any advice would be helpful. I was thinking about the drink bottle with the bite straw but not sure how durable these are or putting a small toothbrush Keyring on a lanyard but then I thought the bristles might come off?
