ASD friendly prep schools in South East London, Surrey or Kent?

Our 6 yo DS has recently been diagnosed as autistic. We have been advised to change school. We’re looking for a calm, nurturing prep school with lots of green space and classes of c.14 pupils. DS2 is 4 and so far is neurotypical. We would want him to go to the same school. We have looked at a variety of prep schools in the south east within a commute of London, including Hazelwood in Oxted and Kingswood School in Epsom. What other schools should we consider? Grateful for all advice!

Advised by who to change school? Is he in a MS state or a independent school?

Prep schools are very long hrs more so than mainstream. More is expected from them including homework. The level is much higher too.

As long as you bear those things in mind. I’d also be weary as if your child is demand avoidant and how much - there is quite a lot of demands / pressure in prep schools…. Especially the older they get and the lovely 11 plus 🤣

Plus if you need extra help in a prep school you will be paying the bill unless it’s all tied and named in the EHCP.

My children are in prep schools but none of them go down to that low numbers …. 20 min in a class so not sure where does 14.
