My Y11 child has been out of school for a while. She is waiting for an Autism Assessment and experiences high levels of anxiety which affects her ability to cope with school. I requested an EHC assessment in January but just received a letter from the LA declining to assess. She has been offered Alternative Provision and has CAMHS involvement. Unfortunately the evidence submitted to the LA by CAMHS didn't do us any favours in terms of evidencing her needs and difficulties. I'd welcome thoughts / advice on next steps in terms of mediation and/or appeal as I think she'll continue to need help with any 16+ options. Thanks
