Double pushchair recommendations

Hi. I have an 8 year old and a 6 year old. Both are very tall for their age and heavy. I’m looking for a new double pushchair for them. All disabled pushchairs I’ve found are thousands! Does anyone know of anything more reasonable?

SN double buggies for older DC are expensive unfortunately.

DC may well be too big for them now, but if not the cheapest option is probably 2 Excel Elise buggies which can be connected together. 2 McLaren Majors and 2 special tomato EIO buggies can also be connected together.

There are grants available from various charities, have you looked at applying for a grant?

No I didn’t realise you could get grants for this? I will look into it, thank you.

There are several charities that give grants e.g. Newlife, Caudwell Children, Boparan Trust, Whizz Kidz, Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust.

You could ask for a referral to wheelchair services too, but not all areas offer SN buggies to older DC.
