Hi

Looking for info on any schools that might be suitable for an intelligent child with autism. Currently in a Grammar but finding the size/environment too intense. In process of gaining EHCP, needs 1-2-1 support at moment.

Any advise appreciated - I'm not even sure where to start.

You can search for schools here.

You could look at Pontville. Depending on where you are Breckenbrough or West Kirby may be within travelling distance.

Boy or girl? I've found a couple of promising looking boys' schools (including Breckenborough), but still looking for girls/coed

I don’t know why I assumed DC was male, sorry.

You could also look at Rossendale.

If boarding is a potential option look at Alderwasley Hall, too.

Thanks. DC is male, so that's helpful!

William Henry Smith School in Brighouse is one that I came across

I would second Rossendale.
