Help me cope with 4yo special interest

It’s a particular tv show (aimed at his age group, quite educational) buts it’s been years and driving me insane. I’m at the point where it’s ALL he will do, obsessively try to watch it or talk about it or get me to play it. Play the exact same thing in the same way repetitively.

I feel really mean but it does get a bit much. How do you manage it without turning into a grouch?

Although it seems a lot, running with it is the right way to go, IMO. If DS will allow you to, can you use the TV programme to widen other interests? For example, can you do some crafts based on the TV programme and does the programme have books/magazines? Is there a tangent you can look at?

I’ve tried but he doesn’t want to do other related activities. I’ll keep trying though!
