Hi there, our son has just turned 4, he has speech delay, he can talk a little and is attending speech therapy. He's on a waiting list for assessment for asd and adhd. We've been having a really hard time toilet training, we've been trying for nearly 2 years now. During the summer we let him wear only top half clothes and use the potty in living room, and after a day or 2 he was reliably using it for both pee and poo, but as soon as we put pants or trousers on him he won't do it, we moved him onto the toilet which he likes, and if u take him to the toilet he will use it to pee, but u have to bring him every 20mins, and sometimes even that isn't enough. I know he can physically do it cause he did when not wearing pants, but I can't figure out what else to do. We've tried getting him to tell us "toilet" etc which he will say after he's been but won't tell u before, very very occasionally he will go and pee by himself but its like one time every 2 or 3 weeks. Any help would be much appreciated.
we have tried rewards, We've tried stickers, tried a reminder watch he wouldn't wear it.
