Can anyone recommend a good Ed Psych for assessments in Surrey?

I want to get my DD (9) assessed - don't know if it's dyslexia or something else, hence wanting to go down the full Ed Psych route. Would really like to get recommendations for good assessors in Surrey or further afield if they're willing to travel. Thank you!

I’ve googled and there seem to be plenty! The Surrey CC ones are split into NW, SW, NE, SE. The lead is Susan Harris, who is the only name I recognise from years back. The private ones seem to advertise separately and I suppose it depends on costs and area.

Unless part of an EHCNA the OP is unlikely to get an EP assessment via the LA. Surrey, like most LAs, can’t even keep on top of statutory work yet alone take on non-statutory work.

You could try Denise Thornton. If you can travel to London you could try: Catharine Pierce, Jemma Levy, Ruth Birnbaum. Others e.g. Leanne Short, Dr Amanda Furness and Dr Mike Hymans will sometimes travel so you could try those.

Thanks @BlueBrick. Yes, the LA won't assess - I'm after a private assessment and want to make sure I use someone who will do a really thorough job. I understand the quality of reports varies hugely, so would like recommendations.
