Hi, new to Mums net so please be kind, DS 10 years old (year 6) we have been advised that the school think he has ADHD, we are starting the process and are completely green and a bit overwhelmed tbh. Can anyone recommend any books to me and DH to read?

We bought Dr Hallowell's book and found it very helpful. https://www.amazon.co.uk/ADHD-2-0-Essential-Strategies-Distraction/dp/0399178732
His website is also good, and the podcasts.

Mumsnet is super helpful too. If you Google Mumsnet + ADHD it will take you to lots of good threads. I find searching via Google is easier than Mumsnet search.

I haven't looked for a book for kids. Good luck with it all.
