Would anyone be able to advise if there may be a good mainstream setting in north London/North west London/ anywhere in london! for secondary schooling? We are in year 5 now and desperately looking for an appropriate school (son is on the milder end of the spectrum and is thriving well in a small classroom size school at present) maybe a private or small state mainstream? All schools around us are very big and worried our son will lose focus in larger settings due to being sensitive to odd loud sounds

local councils have a page for education setting out their local offer. On this list are special schools but also mainstream schools with specialism such as asd anxiety etc. May be worth looking at this. Can the senco at the school recommend any school he or she knows of. It may be worth calling a senco at one of the bigger schools and asking them for advice they may know of a suitable setting. You could make a initial list of ten that are nearest and send them all an enquiry.
