Hi all,
A child in the class continually hits other children. Sanctions are not applied as ASD. Im fed up im my child being hit and learning disrupted.
Please help.

Focus on how the school will keep your child safe going forward rather than focusing on the other child.

Although if you know the pupil’s parents, you could direct them to IPSEA and SOSSEN and suggest they apply for an EHCNA as their child isn’t having their needs met at the moment.

The child does have an EHCP. My child isn't safe, as she and others are regularly hurt.

As I said, focus on your own DC and how the school will keep your DC safe. The school can’t and shouldn’t discuss another pupil with you.

If you know the parents and can be supportive rather than judgemental and an EHCP is already in place, you could direct the parents to IPSEA and SOSSEN for advice on how to improve the EHCP so it meets their DC’s needs.
