Hi dd has just got an autism diagnosis and in the same week a draft ehcp.
The needs are listed as

  1. Semh
  2. Asd
I'm quite good with ehcps after dealing with my sons for years but I'm getting conflicting advice about which diagnosis would be better to have as primary need. I've been told if I allow it to stay as draft states it limits school choice? Does anyone know if this is true x Thanks in advance.

It depends on DD’s needs. For some their SEMH needs are secondary to their ASD. Some autism specialist schools only admit pupils whose primary need is ASD.
