New ADHD meds and adjustment

DD (16) has just had her ADHD meds changed from Equasym XL to Delmosart as she was getting horrible rebound from the Equasym. She’s been taking the Delmosart for 3 days and it’s now making her hypersensitive to the point she can’t bear to touch anything and is totally overwhelmed by sound as everything is very loud. The height of it lasts about an hour and a half then ebbs away. We have a choice to stop the Delmosart, or keep going in the hope that this is the peak of the adjustment and it will get better from here.

Not expecting any medical advice obviously but has anyone else experienced this and pushed through it and it’s got better? Awaiting the psychiatrist’s advice too.

Interestingly she had one day off it, has started again, and the side effects are nowhere near as bad. So I guess we are riding out the adjustment storm!

What mg is she on if you don’t mind me asking?

DD is on 18mg and no change at all 😢
