DLA waiting times

Hi all i applied to DLA on the 25th May 2023 and received a letter dated the 2nd June saying that they have received my application for my autistic child on the 20th of July then i received a letter saying that it can take up to 15 weeks for a decision dont know why it takes so long my son has gone from verbal to non verbal currently trying to put and ECHP in place for him for school as needs a lot of help he also has ARFID eating disorder, sent off reports from physcologist and CHAMHS etc but still waiting

Because they are inundated with applications.

Hi my scan date is the 15/05 I rang last week and was told it's 17-18 week wait from scan date. I was on another thread, somebody else's scan date was the same as yours and she was told mid September she should hear by :)

I reapplied for a updated review due to change in circumstance being his health has declined, I sent it on the 5th May 2023, received a letter to say they had received it on the 23/05/23 and it will take 11 weeks, then another letter on the 03/07/23 saying 15 weeks. Its now been 17 weeks and 2 days. I called them to follow up and they just said I had to wait and that 17 weeks is normal but wouldn't tell me what was happening and it could be another 10 weeks! very frustrating, I know they are busy but if its another 10 weeks that will be 27 weeks total

My daughter’s scan date was 19th May, and we received the confirmation letter, and back payment, a few days ago. Hopefully you hear very soon.

Anyone had DLA yet from middle of July?

Has anybody rang child DLA to see if form has been received and it says a letter will be sent to you by the end of April to inform you of the amount of benefit you will receive ?

The automated message is about the rates going up.
