Helping 9 year old asd daughter

Hi all hoping for some advice. My beautiful quirky 9 year old daughter is currently being assessed for high functioning autism. She obviously cannot relate to her peers in the normal way and with girls that age she has been labelled weird and annoying. My heart breaks for her because I know the person she can become will be wonderful but it is so hard helping her to navigate these years (and this is just the start of it!)

Does she want friendships? Are school supporting with developing social skills and conversation skills?
Does she know any other girls her age who are autistic? Are there any clubs, parent support groups etc in your area where she could meet others and you could meet other parents? This might help.
