I am conducting a small-scale research project for my M.Ed dissertation and aim to explore the parent-EYP relationship and how this impacts the process of accessing Early Childhood Intervention.

If you are a parent, I am interested in the communications between you and the EYPs with whom you shared discussions about your child’s development, the approaches they took to inform you of their concerns, and how this impacted your relationship with the nursery/preschool staff.

If you are an EYP, I am interested in the communications between yourself and the parents of a child whose developmental differences were identified and first raised within your early childhood education and care setting, the approaches taken to inform the parents of your concerns, how you interpreted the parents' reactions to the information and what challenges you might have had to overcome for the child to access ECI successfully.

Should you be happy to participate in an informal interview with me via Microsoft Teams video call, telephone call or an email thread, I would be honoured to hear your stories and experiences.

Please email your interest to me at [email protected] and I will be able to provide you with further information and answer any questions you may have.

Many thanks, and kindest regards
Maria
