Hello!

DD has an EHCP, she is in primary school.

We moved county in March. I completed the relevant online form on moving, received the automated acknowledgment, and have heard nothing since, despite chasing.

I have chased to the extent I’m able to, which means emailing all relevant council email addresses every day, and calling up (it goes straight to voicemail and I leave my details). Her old school are also very kindly trying to chase things up.

How do I manage this? I don’t want to annoy the people who are tasked with finding her a school place, but equally she has a right to go to school! She asks every day when she can start her new school, will it be the same school as the girl next door, she really wants to make new friends etc. I feel sorry for her and am obviously wanting to do my very best by her, but there seems to be a brick wall in place!

Ignore my pp, I posted thread.

Email the LA’s Director of Children’s Services threatening judicial review. They must provide a suitable, full time education under s.19 of the Education Act 1996 (assuming DD is CSA) and anything detailed, specified and quantified in F of the EHCP under s.42 CAFA 2014. If that fails contact SOSSEN for help with a pre-action letter.

The LA must review the EHCP within 12 months of the last AR or 3 months of moving whichever is later. The LA should tell you when they plan to review the EHCP and that it has been transferred within 6 weeks of the transfer.

That should say I posted on the wrong thread.
