Hey guys new to this but just wanted some opinions as I'm not sure what to think anymore. My son has been diagnosed with bilateral anterior segment dysgenesis (born with the condition) with peripheral conjunctivilisation of inferior cornea and iridocorneal adhesions with central clarity. Also diagnosed with high myopia and bilateral retinal dystrophy based on find us appearance (no idea what this means) at age of 2. He was registered as sight impaired due to his visual acuity being less than 3>60 and his visual impairment team at school have decided that he should be changed to severely sight impaired, prior to this he was diagnosed with all the above and retinal dystrophy and developmental delays. I have included all copies of the specialists and previous doctors reports, sen teachers letter in regards to his condition and school has also written us a letter and have agreed that he should have a EHCP due to be done this summer, we are awaiting the new certificate so I can send to dla however I'm on edge as I heard from a fb group that children his age (we applied twice before no diagnosis) wouldn't get HRC or HRM. Can someone who knows a little about this shed some light please? I am literally looking through the entire thread and cannot see anything in regards to a visually impaired child. If the ehcp isn't done now does that affect it ?
