So... we are on holiday. And for the second year running our non-verbal, no danger awareness, non-verbal but very physically capable DC has done a runner repeatedly out of the holiday accommodation as we can't lock the door from inside. We have set up crazy barricades with suitcases and ironing boards but it's made it impossible to relax. It's terrifying. And we can only imagine it getting worse with age. It never happens at home as we have things secure but we need to be able to stay away for other DC.

Can anyone recommend a GPS bracelet sort of thing that cannot be removed?

Have read good things about Angel Sense.

We've had similar problems. I don't know about an electronic tag, and my fellow yanks off all the medical braclets. My thing would be sew name etc into multiple main clothing items. Also get cheap android with fully waterproof cover. Put tagging app on that like you can for teenagers and hide it in a velcroed pocket where they don't know about it.

Apple air tags? You can get a key ring tag and put it on hooks on jeans trousers and it can emit a Signal
to let you know where it is, not perfect but worth a try

Thanks all. Yes we have an AirTag that we used for our NT older DC when they started walking to and from school but soon realised its limitations if not in a city, as it's not GPS, it totally relies on bouncing off iPhones so doesn't give an accurate current location reliably.

The angelsense looks great but 😱 at the price.

Will look at other options like the Vodaphone curve - that seems more like what we need,

Thanks for replying.
