Does teacher think dd has autism

Had parents evening and the teacher mentioned at the end that dd struggles with eye contact and social situations feels uncomfortable sometimes. She asked if I'd noticed this before.

I wondered if she might be hinting at autism as dd shows some other traits.

It does sound quite possible, but anyone on here would just be speculating.
You need to ask if you can have a chat with her to go in to it further.

If it is something you have been wondering about, then tell the teacher that. It will make the conversation so very much easier. Obviously she can't diagnose but she can talk to the SENCo about maybe getting a referral in place.

It is impossible for anyone here to guess what the teacher’s thoughts may be, you should speak to the teacher and the SENCO.
