Secondary schools for ADHD

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any state or private secondary schools (mainstream or SEN) with good support for a child with ADHD (no EHCP) in Berkshire and bordering counties so north Hampshire, South Oxfordshire, Surrey?

We are looking to find a new school for my son who is in year 7, he has combined type ADHD with quite a lot of school anxiety so would need a school with a good level of pastoral support as well as understanding of his SEN needs because of his ADHD.

He is currently off school with anxiety because of what is happening at his current school (no support) so I’m desperate to find a new school for him. After searching online I’m at a total loss to know where to look.

thanks

Have you considered applying for an EHCNA? The majority of SS require an EHCP, and the ones that don’t would be expensive to self fund.

In the meantime, if DS can’t attend school full time the LA have a statutory duty to provide alternative arrangements.

You could look at Wemms Education Centre in Surrey and some of Aspris’s schools. Depending on exactly where you are and needs Beech Lodge in Maidenhead might be suitable. It is probably too far but thought I would mention it anyway there’s New Forest school in Hampshire. I’m sure there’s others too. You can search for schools here.
