Hi, I'm looking for some guidance please as I'm a bit lost! My daughter was recently diagnosed with ADHD, Autism and Slow Processing Disorder, we went privately due to her age (15) and they've been great in terms of medication etc but I've been told she needs CBT to help her with emotional regulation, and with her executive function but I am stuck as to where to go as CAMHS are not able to take her on and i can't afford any more privately at present. She has speech language therapy through school but has only had 2 sessions so far.

Does anyone have experience of starting this at a later age, and have any ideas who I can approach for help? Thank you

Does DD have an EHCP? If so, therapies including MH therapies and OT can be included in there as well as the SALT. If DD doesn’t have an EHCP have you considered applying for one?

You could see if there any local charities that offer free/subsidised therapy to teens. You could also look at OT as that will help with emotional regulation and executive function. In some areas you can self refer.
