Patronising?

If an autistic adult friend of yours had achieved an outstanding & prestigious academic award....

And another friend had a high functioning autistic daughter, currently struggling with the diagnosis....

Do you think it would it be patronising to tell the second friend about the first friend's achievement? Or do you think she might find it inspiring / positive?

I might not talk about it right away, but when your friend initiates a conversation about her daughter, I would listen to her then mention your other friend's achievements as a way of encouragement.
