My 7 year old has been in her primary school since may after a big move. Has autism dx

School generally v supportive but dd is choosing to spend every playtime in library drawing as cant cope with group play ..gets on with some of the children individually but just struggling hugely with the group

In her last school she had a best friend so group problem wasnt so visible.

I just feel so sad that she is choosing to withdraw. She is a social child and wants friends. She does love the library but at 8 i wonder if the school could help at all even ince a week helping her to get outside with friends

Outdoor play is so good for childrebs health.. i cant bear the thought of her just giving up on it so young.

Are you sure she wants to go outside with the masses and noise?

Maybe she is really happy in the library..... nice she is allowed to hang out in there.

If you are totally sure she defo wants to go outside but struggles maybe school could help with a friend to encourage her out

However she might just want chill out / own time within the library to recharge her batteries for the rest of the day
