My son had his assessment last week through the NHS. I'm just wondering how long other people waited for their result of this assessment?

I think this totally depends on where you are etc. DC had an assessment privately with people who also do assessments for the NHS, we had the result/report back about 10 days later.

Surely a piece of string question. The methodology varies so much. My son's assessment was completed about Oct I think, but then the results had to go to panel and we learned the result in Jan.

10 days would be fab I'm ridiculously impatient!

Just in case anyone finds this thread asking in the future, I've just had an email and have an appointment to find out in a couple of weeks!

We'd waited 3 years for the assessment. It was booked for a Monday and the previous week the SLT booked us in for a feedback meeting for two days after the assessment.

I just expected her to give us the diagnosis in the meeting but she'd actually written up the draft report by then too. What a ⭐️.

@adhadhdpunchbag wow I cannot imagine waiting 3 years! It's crazy how long the waiting lists are especially once you reach primary age. I think we were lucky to be referred in preschool it seems to be a lot quicker at that point.
