Annual Review query

Hi

I'll be grateful for advice on whether parents have the same legal entitlement to request/obtain professional assessments (e.g. CAMHS, OT etc) for an Annual Review as they do for EHCP needs assessment? Unfortunately, the regs/guidance is not particularly clear on this. Thank you

There is no legal entitlement to assessments via the AR process. If you want/need (re)assessments you would need to request a reassessment of needs. Here is what should happen as part of an AR and the relevant legislation.

You are welcome. In the past I received support from MN’ers I could never repay, now we are in a more stable position I try to give back where I can. It shouldn’t be the case, but DC whose parents know the system and can advocate for them get better support.
