Hi everyone. I have always found you all so knowledgeable and helpful so I'm here again hoping someone can provide some helpful advice.
I have dc who is 6 and ASD. Non verbal and completely unaware of any danger who constantly finds new ways to terrify me.
Our windows do not have locks and lately dc has figured out how to open the windows and although they only open about 6 inches on the safety bar that is enough for him to wriggle out. Thankfully we live in a bungalow! However it still needs to be stopped obviously. I just need to keep him safe. We already sleep with one eye open!
Does anyone have any ideas ? Are there any aids out there for this type of thing? I asked occupational therapy who said they don't deal with these sorts of things so im sort of at a loss! Any and all suggestions welcome.
